Kyrgyzstan and France discussed the development of inter-parliamentary relations


During the meeting between the Chairman of the Jogorku Kenesh of Kyrgyzstan Marlen Mamataliyev and the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of France to the Kyrgyz Republic Nicolas Fay, the directions for the development of bilateral cooperation and the strengthening of inter-parliamentary relations were discussed. The press service of the parliament reported on the key aspects of the meeting.

During the conversation, the parties considered issues related to political and economic interaction, as well as cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries.

Mamataliyev emphasized that Kyrgyzstan is interested in expanding cooperation with France in all areas. He noted that special attention should be given to deepening trade and economic relations, as well as joint efforts in the areas of environmental protection, digitalization, and tourism.

He also highlighted the importance of parliamentary diplomacy for strengthening ties between states, calling for the activation of meetings and visits by deputies. An important point was the expansion of interaction among friendship groups of deputies.

Ambassador Nicolas Fay expressed support for the proposed ideas and shared his initiatives for further developing cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and France. He noted that special attention would be given to strengthening inter-parliamentary ties, which, in turn, would help implement the agreements reached.

The parties also discussed the possibility of opening direct flights and creating cultural centers in both countries.
