The U.S. Special Envoy for South and Central Asia, Ambassador Sergio Gor, was received by the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov.
During the meeting, aspects of political and economic cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the United States were discussed, including interaction in the fields of transportation, digital technologies, finance, artificial intelligence, and healthcare.
President Japarov emphasized that Kyrgyzstan is ready to develop both bilateral and multilateral relations with the United States based on mutually beneficial cooperation.
He also stressed that strengthening trade, economic, and investment ties with international partners is a key direction of the country’s foreign policy, noting the significant potential for deepening economic relations between the two states.
Sadyr Japarov highlighted the importance of the "B5+1" platform (Business 5+1) and expressed confidence that the second dialogue forum, which started today in Bishkek, will contribute to expanding economic partnership between Kyrgyzstan and the United States, implementing joint projects, and strengthening regional integration.
Additionally, the President of Kyrgyzstan noted interest in further developing relations within the "C5+1" platform (Central Asia – U.S.), which has proven to be an effective tool for promoting multilateral cooperation between Central Asia and America over the past ten years.
Sergio Gor, for his part, thanked the Kyrgyz side for their hospitality and conveyed greetings from U.S. President Donald Trump, as well as expressed readiness for active cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.
Speaking about economic diplomacy, he noted that a significant U.S. business delegation arrived in Bishkek to participate in the "B5+1" Forum, which, in his opinion, will create favorable conditions for strengthening trade and economic interaction between the two countries.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Sadyr Japarov and Sergio Gor continued negotiations with the participation of representatives from American businesses.
