Sadyr Japarov met with U.S. Special Envoy Sergio Gore.
Today, February 4, the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, held a meeting with Sergio Gor, the U.S. Special Envoy for South and Central Asia. During the negotiations, key aspects of Kyrgyz-American relations were discussed, including political and economic cooperation, as well as collaboration in areas such as transportation, digitalization, financial technologies, artificial intelligence, and healthcare.
Sadyr Japarov emphasized Kyrgyzstan's readiness to develop both bilateral and multilateral ties with the United States based on mutually beneficial and equal partnership.
The head of state noted that expanding trade, economic, and investment relations with foreign partners is one of the important directions of the country's foreign policy and highlighted the significant potential for activity in economic interaction between the two countries.
In this regard, he drew attention to the B5+1 platform (Business 5+1) and expressed confidence that the second B5+1 dialogue forum, which began its work today in Bishkek, will contribute to the further development of trade and economic cooperation and the implementation of joint projects, as well as strengthening regional connectivity.
Furthermore, the president noted that Kyrgyzstan is also interested in strengthening relations within the C5+1 platform (Central Asia - U.S.), which has proven to be an effective mechanism for multilateral cooperation between Central Asia and the United States over the past ten years.
Sergio Gor, for his part, thanked the Kyrgyz side for the warm welcome and conveyed greetings and best wishes from U.S. President Donald Trump.
He emphasized the United States' readiness for active cooperation with Kyrgyzstan in all areas of mutual interest.
Sergio Gor also highlighted the importance of economic diplomacy and reported that a delegation of American businessmen had arrived in Bishkek to participate in the B5+1 forum, which he believes will serve as a good foundation for developing trade and economic ties between the two countries.
After that, Sadyr Japarov and Sergio Gor continued the discussion of issues with the participation of representatives of American business.
