He went for a walk in the garden just moments before rockets attacked his residence, resulting in the deaths of his father and other family members.
According to an audio recording obtained by the publication, Mojtaba was the target of the same strike that claimed the lives of his father and other Iranian leaders. At 9:32 AM on February 28, when Israeli ballistic missiles Blue Sparrow hit his home, he was outside.
In a recording made during a meeting on March 12 in the Kolak neighborhood of Tehran, the head of the protocol service of the Supreme Leader of Iran, Mazaher Hosseini, informs clerics and IRGC commanders that Mojtaba was injured in the leg during the attack, his wife and son died instantly, and his son-in-law was beheaded. Hosseini says: “By the will of God, Mojtaba went out to the yard to do something and then came back. He was going upstairs when the missile hit the building. His wife Khaddad died instantly.”
Among those killed in this strike were also Ali Khamenei, Mohammad Pakpour, head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Iran's Minister of Defense Aziz Nasirzadeh, and Air Force Commander Mohammad Shirazi.
