Iranian Ayatollah Shirazi declared jihad against the USA and Israel. What else happened?

Ayatollah Shirazi from Iran declared jihad, meaning a holy war, against the United States and Israel.

The Secretary of Iran's National Security Council previously emphasized that today a strike will be delivered against these countries with unprecedented power.

According to the Iranian state news agency "IRNA," citing the Tehran branch of the Red Crescent, Tehran has been subjected to 60 attacks in the past 24 hours, resulting in the deaths of 57 people.

Israeli military reports conducting attacks on the capital, where smoke is rising over the city.

North Korea condemned the actions of the USA and Israel against Iran as "illegal aggression."

A representative of the North Korean Foreign Ministry, as reported by the "Korean Central News Agency," claims that the attacks by the USA and Israel are violations of Iran's sovereignty.

He added that the involvement of the USA was expected, noting that it is a natural result of their "hegemonic and bandit" behavior.

The statement also mentions that "aggressive war" between the USA and Israel is unacceptable under any circumstances.

The British meteorological organization MTO warns of "significant military activity" in the Strait of Hormuz.

The UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) reports "significant military activity" in the Persian Gulf, Gulf of Oman, and the northern part of the Arabian Sea.

In its latest report, UKMTO emphasized that the maritime security situation in the region remains extremely unstable and active military operations pose a threat to commercial shipping.

The document notes that "there is significant military presence and activity in the region. Mariners should be aware of the increased risk of mistakes and misidentifications, especially near military facilities and critical maritime infrastructure."

UKMTO also reported that rumors about the closure of the Strait of Hormuz continue to circulate, but no official notifications of closure have been received.

The British meteorological organization also noted threats in other regions, such as Bab-el-Mandeb, where tensions remain "high."

The assassination of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei would be a serious test for Iran, but it would not lead to an immediate regime change and would not necessarily accelerate the end of the conflict.

Although Khamenei has been an important figure, the undisputed leader of the country for 37 years, the Iranian political system is designed to function even after his death.

Since the 1979 revolution, Iran has been governed by Shia religious leaders, and its political and military structures are organized to protect this form of governance.

There is an established system for appointing Khamenei's successor, carried out by the Assembly of Experts, consisting of 88 religious figures loyal to the regime who are capable of choosing a new leader to continue Khamenei's course.

However, the most significant influence in the country belongs to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), a powerful military structure that protects Iran's Islamic regime and fights against the USA and Israel, tolerating no dissent.

The IRGC is expected to play a key role in ensuring continuity of power and protecting its interests in the event of a leadership change.

Gulf countries successfully intercepted Iranian strikes, but there are casualties.

Bahrain: Bahrain's air defense systems successfully intercepted and destroyed a new wave of Iranian ballistic missiles and drones. State media reported that "a small amount of debris" fell in several areas.

Kuwait: The Kuwaiti state news agency also reported that on Sunday morning, air defense systems successfully repelled "a number of hostile aerial targets." The Ministry of Defense clarified that there were no casualties, and the targets were intercepted in the southern part of the country.

Qatar: According to the Qatari state agency, a woman and a child were injured when a drone intercepted by UAE air defense crashed into a building in the Union Towers complex in Abu Dhabi. The Qatari Ministry of Defense confirmed that fighter jets and air defense systems successfully repelled Iranian drones and missiles.

Hezbollah leader Naeem Qassem expressed his condolences over the death of Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, calling him a martyr who left behind tens of millions of followers.

Qassem noted that the "criminal American and Zionist aggression" against Khamenei represents the "pinnacle of crime" and promised: "We will fulfill our duty in resisting aggression, relying on victory and the support of Allah."

The Lebanese Shia group Hezbollah, one of the most influential Iran-backed organizations in the region, will hold a public gathering in solidarity with Khamenei and in support of Iran.
