Employees of the Ural Interregional Office of the Rosselkhoznadzor conducted a joint inspection with representatives of the FSB of Russia and the Tyumen Customs on March 19 and 20, 2026. The event took place near the "Petukhovo" border crossing on the Russian-Kazakh border, where violations of international phytosanitary legislation were identified.

In particular, during the inspection of a vehicle transporting 17 tons of tomatoes from Kyrgyzstan to the Tyumen region, it was found that most of the boxes lacked the necessary labeling.
A similar situation was discovered with 16.2 tons of Chinese pomelo being transported from Kazakhstan to Moscow. Instead of indicating the place of origin, the packaging displayed the address of the logistics center.

Due to non-compliance with the Unified quarantine phytosanitary requirements concerning quarantine products at the customs border and territory of the Eurasian Economic Union, the vehicles carrying tomatoes and pomelo were returned to Kyrgyzstan under the supervision of Rosselkhoznadzor specialists.
