Farmers are switching to agrodrones and zero tillage, - Ministry of Agriculture
As Idrisov noted, the application of modern technologies allows for a significant reduction in the costs of agricultural production. In particular, he recommended that farmers use zero-tillage seeders, which combine the functions of sowing and fertilizing.
“This is a method where plowing is not required, and seeds are planted directly into the soil. It is economically justified,” he explained.
It was also reported that agro-drones equipped with artificial intelligence elements have arrived, which can process fields without the use of tractors.
“It is enough to enter the coordinates, and the drone will independently carry out the processing of the area. This helps avoid damage to crops, as the equipment does not enter the field,” Idrisov emphasized.
In addition, negotiations are underway with Chinese manufacturers for the introduction of robotic tractors capable of operating without human control around the clock.
According to the ministry, although such technologies are currently being implemented on a limited scale, their practical implementation began this year.
In Kyrgyzstan, systems of drip and sprinkler irrigation are also gradually developing, supplied from various countries, and the supply of seeds from Europe and the USA is increasing, including hybrid and elite varieties.
Idrisov added that the development of agriculture takes time and largely depends on weather conditions. He cited examples of differences in yields in different years.
“In one year, the harvest may be high due to favorable conditions, while in another, due to drought, it may significantly decrease,” he noted.
The ministry continues its efforts to implement new technologies and reduce the cost of agricultural production.
