Previously, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the decision to establish the open joint-stock company "Kyrgyz Satellite". This initiative aims to integrate space technologies into the management of natural resources and promote the economic development of the country.
“The main goal of the project is to create a national system for obtaining and applying aerospace data. This will ensure more accurate and timely decision-making in the areas of land use, ecological monitoring, climate change analysis, mineral exploration, and emergency prevention,” the ministry noted.
The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic has been appointed as the founder and sole shareholder of the new company. The infrastructure for "Kyrgyz Satellite" is planned to be developed in Karakol.
