During his visit to Chengdu, Emmanuel Macron, the President of France, made an impression on the Chinese side when he suddenly left his security detail and approached a group of students from Sichuan University. This information was reported on BFMTV.

In the video footage, Macron can be seen exiting the car and swiftly heading towards the youth, while his security tries to keep up with him. According to the channel, this "unpredictable and unusual for China" situation caught the security service off guard.

Additionally, RFI notes that Macron's visit to Chengdu, alongside Chinese President Xi Jinping, was perceived by the Élysée Palace as a sign of special respect, as the Chinese leader rarely accompanies foreign guests outside of Beijing.

Since December 3, Macron has been in China for a three-day state visit. During negotiations in Beijing, the parties signed 12 different agreements, including documents related to trade, cooperation in nuclear energy, and "cross-investments."
