During his trip to Beijing, French President Emmanuel Macron called for the creation of favorable conditions to increase direct Chinese investments in the European Union. He emphasized that such investments could contribute to the establishment of new production facilities and jobs. This statement was made following his talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping, as reported by TASS.
“Europe needs renewal to become more competitive and increase investment volumes. China aims to develop its domestic consumption, and we need to establish the framework conditions that will allow for increased direct Chinese investments in Europe, creating added value and jobs,” Macron noted.
He also pointed to the success of this approach in high technologies, particularly in the field of electric battery production. Additionally, the French president highlighted the need to eliminate global economic imbalances, which he believes are “unsustainable and pose a risk of financial crisis.”
