Recently, there has been a sharp increase in the number of fires in high-rise buildings and private homes, caused by malfunctions in electrical systems.
Statistics show that in the 11 months of 2025, there were 3,388 recorded fires, and nearly 60% of them occurred due to improper handling of electrical equipment. The main factors include:
- worn or damaged wiring;
- improper installation of electrical wiring;
- overloading of the electrical network;
- use of low-quality and cheap materials;
- incorrect choice of circuit breakers;
- short circuits.
Such fires can spread rapidly, causing serious damage to both people and their property.
According to data, over the past five years, material losses from emergencies, including fires and accidents, in Kyrgyzstan have exceeded 25 billion soms.
