
The Ministry reminds of the importance of maintaining distance between vehicles
In a press release, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that from December 20 to 22, 2025, precipitation is expected in the mountainous regions of Kyrgyzstan, which may lead to snow avalanches and the formation of snow drifts. Icy conditions are also forecasted on the roads.
The most dangerous road sections include:
Bishkek – Osh:
121–138 km (Tоо-Ashuu Pass),
198–255 km (Ala-Bel Pass, Chychkan Gorge);
Ala-Buka – Kanysh-Kiya:
68–74 km, 86–101 km (Chapchyma Pass);
Krasnaya Gorka – Ak-Tash:
0–3 km;
Myzake – Kara-Kulja – Alaykuu:
65–110 km;
Karakol – Enilchek:
45–90 km (Chon-Ashuu Pass);
Balykchy – Kazarman – Jalal-Abad:
326–349 km (Kok-Art Pass).
“The Ministry of Emergency Situations strongly recommends maintaining a distance of at least 500 meters between vehicles. In case of an emergency, you should immediately call 112,” the message emphasizes.
