The Ministry of Transport and Communications has shared current information about the condition of roads in the mountainous areas of the country.
According to the agency's data, there were temporary restrictions for heavy vehicles at the Toо-Ashuu pass on the Bishkek – Osh road and at the Dolon pass on the Bishkek – Naryn – Torugart route. Currently, snowfalls are ongoing, and road maintenance services are actively engaged in clearing the roads and distributing inert materials.
Temporary restrictions on the movement of heavy vehicles remain in effect at the Ala-Bel pass (Bishkek – Osh). At the Chon-Ashuu pass (Karakoil – Enilchek), snowfalls and strong winds are observed, but traffic continues. The Karagoo pass (Kazarman – Aktalchat) is temporarily closed until weather conditions improve, and alternative routes are provided for drivers.
The Ministry reminds motorists of the importance of using winter tires, having the necessary equipment, and strictly adhering to traffic rules.
