As of 9:30 AM on December 18, all passes are open, and vehicle movement is not being halted.
However, there are restrictions for heavy trucks on two sections:
- The Too-Ashuu pass on the Bishkek — Osh road, where a ban was introduced on December 17 at 1:00 PM;
- The Dolon pass on the Bishkek — Naryn — Torugart road, where restrictions have been in place since December 17 at 6:40 PM.
On the passes of Sooc (Barskoon — Ak-Shiyrak), Chon-Ashuu (Karakoil — Enilchek), as well as Char, Ak-Beyit, Kubak and in the Boom Gorge, the roads are open, although there are areas with worsening weather, but traffic continues.
At the Otmok pass on the Suusamyr — Talas — Taraz road, it is snowing, but the road also remains open.
Drivers are urged to take winter conditions into account, use appropriate tires, and strictly follow the traffic rules.
