Attending the ceremony were the German Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, Monika Lenhard, and the Presidential Envoy in the Osh region, Elchibek Jantaev.
The chief physician of the regional hospital, Atabek Jumaliev, noted that the new building will be intended for providing medical assistance to pregnant women in critical condition and premature newborns. “This project was developed in collaboration with German partners. The total cost of construction will be 9.5 million euros. A two-story building with 249 beds will be constructed, covering an area of 4,723 square meters, located on the hospital grounds. The center will provide services under the supervision of various specialists, including surgeons, therapists, pediatricians, and cardiologists,” added Jumaliev.
According to him, construction will take two years; however, the contractor promises to complete the project in 1.5 years.
The project will be implemented by the company "China Road and Bridge Corporation in Kyrgyzstan" (representative office of "China Road And Bridge Corporation in Kyrgyzstan").
Construction work will begin in the city of Osh, at Upper Uvam Street, 12B.
The expected completion date for the project is March 3, 2028.
