
The construction of a new perinatal center based on the Osh Interregional Combined Clinical Hospital has begun, as reported by the press center of the Ministry of Health.
The project is being implemented as part of the "Protection of Motherhood and Childhood" initiative, funded by the German government through the KfW Development Bank, in cooperation with the government of Kyrgyzstan and the Ministry of Health.
The general contractor for the construction is the China Road and Bridge Corporation.
The construction of a modern perinatal center with a total area of over 4,723 square meters is planned, which will include 249 beds, delivery and operating rooms, as well as departments for pregnancy pathology, intensive care for women and newborns, a neonatology unit, and rooms for mother and child cohabitation, along with modern resuscitation departments.
The center will be equipped with high-tech equipment that meets international standards in the field of perinatal care.
The implementation of this project will significantly improve access to medical services for women and newborns in the Osh, Batken, and Jalal-Abad regions.
In addition, the project includes the training of medical personnel, optimization of clinical processes, and the introduction of modern methods for managing pregnancies and caring for high-risk newborns.
