According to the press center of the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan, in 2024, more than 1,200 children, including toddlers under five years old, are under observation due to diabetes. This indicates a growing problem that requires improvement in medical services and the implementation of new technologies.

The National Center for Maternal and Child Health is actively working on the development of pediatric endocrinology services, introducing modern methods for diabetes management. With the help of the company "Basel," the endocrinology department has received modern continuous glucose monitoring systems, which contribute to more accurate blood sugar control and reduce the risk of complications.

In the near future, the NCMCH intends to expand the use of insulin pump therapy, making treatment more comfortable and safe for children.

The main task of the center is to provide children with diabetes timely and quality medical care, as well as to raise awareness among parents and the community about the importance of early diagnosis and proper treatment of this disease.

Overall, there are about 90,000 registered patients with diabetes in Kyrgyzstan, of which 19,000 live in Bishkek.
