Starting from October 30, 2025, the National Center for the Protection of Motherhood and Childhood (NCPMC) will launch a charitable program, within which a group of surgeons from Qatar will perform surgeries for children with hearing impairments.

Six highly qualified specialists will conduct cochlear implant surgeries after preliminary medical examinations and selection, involving 64 children chosen according to the order of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic (MoH KR).

The funding for the surgeries, including the purchase of implants, is fully provided by the Qatari side. Qatar will also cover the costs of training Kyrgyz surgeons and medical staff, and the post-operative rehabilitation of the children will also be covered.

Since 2020, the NCPMC has successfully performed cochlear implant surgeries, restoring hearing for more than 200 children. This has been made possible through international cooperation, which significantly improves access to high-tech medical care for children with hearing problems in Kyrgyzstan.

The organization of this mission was carried out under the Memorandum of Understanding between the government of Qatar, represented by the Ministry of Donations and Islamic Affairs, and the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic.
