
The Ministry of Emergency Situations has issued an important warning
According to information, the expected precipitation from December 17 to 19, 2025, may lead to the occurrence of snow avalanches, the formation of snow drifts, as well as the formation of ice on the roads in the mountainous areas of Kyrgyzstan.
The specified areas where avalanches may occur include:
the Bishkek – Osh road on sections 121–138 kilometers (Töö-Ashuu pass) and 198–255 kilometers (Ala-Bel pass, Chychkan gorge);
the Ala-Buka – Kanysh-Kiya road at 68–74 and 86–101 kilometers (Chapchyma pass);
the Krasnaya Gorka – Ak-Tash road at 0–3 kilometers;
the Myrzake – Kara-Kulja – Alayku road on the section 65–110 kilometers;
the Karakol – Enilchek road at 45–90 kilometers (Chong-Ashuu pass);
the Balikchy – Kazarman – Jalal-Abad road at 326–349 kilometers (Kok-Art pass).
The message notes that "the Ministry of Emergency Situations urges maintaining a distance of at least 500 meters between vehicles in the specified areas."
