A criminal case has been initiated in the Chuy region in connection with a tragic incident that occurred as a result of a fire.
According to information provided by the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chuy region, on January 20, 2026, at 09:53, a report was received at the Moscow District Internal Affairs Department about a burned Volkswagen Golf-3 station wagon of silver color. The vehicle was found on the eastern outskirts of the village of Spartak, near a lake. Inside the vehicle, the remains of two people were discovered: the driver, born in 2000, named O.E., and a middle school student, born in 2010, T.S.
Experts conducted an inspection and established that O.E. became the owner of the vehicle on January 11, 2026, and on January 13, he contacted an electrician to repair the left headlight. The technician noted that the condition of the car left much to be desired: exposed wires, the smell of gasoline, and smoke inside the vehicle, which made further operation extremely dangerous.
Despite the identified circumstances, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 122 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic for a comprehensive investigation and clarification of all the details of the incident, which will allow for the necessary set of investigative measures within the framework of criminal procedural legislation.
Based on the results of the investigation, an appropriate procedural decision will be made in accordance with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chuy region also appeals to citizens not to disseminate false information.
