The Republican Center for the Control of Viral Hepatitis and HIV has announced a tender for conducting an information campaign aimed at increasing interest in vaccination against hepatitis B, as well as in the diagnosis and treatment of hepatitis B and C.

According to data from the state procurement portal, 3 million 50 thousand soms will be allocated for these purposes.

The technical assignment emphasizes that viral hepatitis B and C pose a serious health problem for the population of Kyrgyzstan. Many people are unaware of the ways the viruses are transmitted, preventive measures, and available medical services. This lack of information, along with bias, distrust of the healthcare system, and logistical issues, leads to a low level of citizen participation in vaccination, testing, and treatment.

The campaign will target adult citizens of the country aged 18 to 65, with special attention to the working population, key groups, healthcare workers, and community leaders.

The coverage will include the entire territory of Kyrgyzstan, with a focus on cities such as Bishkek, Osh, Manas, and Tokmok, where medical centers offering testing, vaccination, and treatment services for viral hepatitis are located.

The deadline for submitting proposals is November 27.
