A campaign for vaccination against hepatitis B has started in the country.
According to information provided by the Republican Center for Immunoprophylaxis, everyone interested can get vaccinated completely free of charge.
To participate in the program, you need to follow these steps:
Step 1. Visit the family medicine center at your place of residence to get a referral for an express test.
Step 2. Take the express test for the presence of the hepatitis B virus.
If the result is positive, vaccination will not be carried out.
Step 3. If the test is negative, obtain a referral for vaccination.
Step 4. Get vaccinated against hepatitis B.
“Both processes — testing and vaccination — are free. After completing the vaccination course, you will develop long-term immunity that will last for at least 10 years and provide protection against the hepatitis B virus, including cases related to dental procedures and other blood contacts,” the statement notes.
