Participants showcased national costumes and shared their traditions
At the international competition Face of Asia 2025, held as part of the Asia Model Festival in South Korea, the team from Kyrgyzstan made a splash among the jury. At the event, which gathered over a hundred participants from 25 countries, as reported by "Mir 24", the Kyrgyzstanis stood out thanks to their unique national costumes and culture.
Three representatives from Kyrgyzstan participated in the competition — two girls and a young man, who had previously won at the national level. The grand prize was awarded to an 18-year-old participant who managed to outshine all her competitors.
The organizers noted that the evaluation process took into account not only the participants' appearance but also important qualities such as discipline, respect for others, and tactfulness.
During the festival, participants underwent training in a modeling camp, took part in advertising projects, and got acquainted with Korean pop culture. The Kyrgyz team presented designer outfits, national costumes, and videos showcasing the culture and traditions of their country.
It is also worth noting that nine young models from Kyrgyzstan performed at the festival, and one of them was awarded the Fashion Icon Award.
The winners of the competition received contracts and the opportunity to collaborate with leading modeling agencies and fashion brands in South Korea.
