The film by the Kyrgyz director was nominated for the Toronto Global Film Festival

The film "The Dream of Reason," created by Kyrgyz director and film critic Talgar Zamir-Seyit, has been selected to participate in the Toronto Global Film Festival, which will take place in Canada from December 20 to 22, 2025.

The filming of the movie took place on the Kamchatka Peninsula and resulted from international collaboration between Kyrgyzstan, Japan, Uzbekistan, and Russia. The uniqueness of the project lies in the fact that the entire film was shot on a mobile phone, which gives it a documentary character and a special atmosphere of sincerity.

The Toronto Global Film Festival is a new international platform aimed at uniting cultures, stories, and fresh voices in world cinema. This festival showcases films that use the language of cinema to convey humanity, inspiration, and dialogue between nations.

Talgar Zamirbekov, a Kyrgyz director, was born on February 28, 1999, in Bishkek and graduated from the Kyrgyz State University of Culture and Arts named after B. Beishenaliev. He founded the first creative association "KoryakFilm" in the Koryak District (Palana, Russia). His filmography includes works such as "The Long Way" (2018), "Family" (2020), "Running in Silence" (2022), "Pilgrim" (2023), "The Last Poem" (2024), "Kabalyevsky" (2025), "Stebnitsky" (2025), and "The Dream of Reason" (2025).
