Musicians of Kyrgyzstan Create a Unified Creative Community
Musicians from various bands in Bishkek have decided to unite and promote quality and original music "Made in KG" on the stages of the city, country, and region. The music community already includes about 10 bands of different genres, and any willing group can become a part of it, regardless of the language of the songs, genre, or creative experience. Under the auspices of the association, several events have already taken place – from the Indie Music Festival to the Mad Metal Festival, featuring bands from both Kyrgyzstan and neighboring Kazakhstan.
- The community started with 4 bands – "KASHGAR," "My Own Shiva," "SHAHID," and "The Last Day of Silence," which are the groups that create heavy music of high quality and push the movement forward. There are also bands from other directions that make original and quality music – for example, "In the Air We Are" and "Success." We hold several events – the Mad Metal Festival (MMF), Edinaroq, RDB, which differ in location, performing and invited bands. During these events, merchandise, CDs, stickers, magnets, and other memorabilia can be purchased. The technical side is handled by Sergey Bogatikov, who also assists with promotion, while Vlad Dombrovsky helps with merchandise in the form of T-shirts… In the future, we would like to find more people skilled in photography and videography to help develop the community, - said Mikhail Efimenko, a musician and one of the ideological inspirers of the association.
