The restoration work, which lasted from September 7 to October 20, 2025, allowed the monument to be returned to its original appearance.
Zhainagul noted that in 1999, the 160th anniversary of Shabdan Batyr was celebrated, during which his burial site, destroyed as a result of the events of Urkun, was restored.
The opening ceremony was attended by various high-ranking officials, including the head of the Chon-Kemin ayil district, Izat Ibraimov, the first deputy representative of the president in the Chui region, Samat Ismanov, the mufti of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan, Abdulaziz Zakirov, the chairman of the Union of Writers of the Kyrgyz Republic, Kanybek Imanaliev, as well as the elders of the district.
