Since 2015, Atabaev has been serving as the head of the qaziyat of Muslims in the Osh region. During his six years in this position, he actively contributed to spiritual enlightenment, strengthening interethnic harmony, and promoting traditional Islamic values.
Subsequently, he headed the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the capital, holding the positions of deputy and first deputy mufti of Kyrgyzstan. In addition, he represented the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Russia in the European part of the country.
Throughout his activities, Atabaev has been awarded numerous honors, including letters of appreciation from the President of Kyrgyzstan and the "Nasiyat" medal.
