At a press conference, the chairman of the Central Election Commission, Tynchtyk Shainazarov, reported that there is a higher voter turnout in the current parliamentary elections compared to the 2021 elections.
Shainazarov clarified that this year there is no mandatory turnout threshold, and the elections will be considered valid regardless of the number of people who showed up at the polling stations.
If in 2021 by 14:00, 602,432 people (16.27%) voted in the unified district and 593,315 (16.39%) in single-member districts, then in 2025 by the same time, the turnout had already reached 815,766 people, which is 19%.
