During the meeting, Shainazarov shared information about the current stage of preparation for the upcoming elections, discussed important changes in the electoral system, and noted the increase in the number of polling stations abroad.
He emphasized that additional polling stations have been opened in 15 cities in Russia, which will allow citizens of Kyrgyzstan, who are currently residing or temporarily living in Russia, to exercise their voting rights.
Konstantin Zatulin, the first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration, and Relations with Compatriots, noted that the Russian side is closely monitoring the process of reforming Kyrgyzstan's electoral legislation and the implementation of new technologies in the electoral process.
He added that due to significant progress in transparency and automation, the need for a large number of observers is decreasing. However, the practice of international observation remains an important element of inter-parliamentary interaction.
