In the Batken region and the city of Batken, early elections for deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh are taking place on November 30. As of 10:30, about 4% of voters have cast their ballots.

As reported by the special representative of the Central Election Commission, Alisher Koldoshov, 57 polling stations are open for voting in the region and the city.

Some residents of the Batken region mentioned that they mistakenly arrived at the wrong polling station. For instance, voter Abdiraim Abdyrasulov shared that he was redirected several times between different stations. “I am a resident of Batken. I used to vote at the school named after Joomart Bokonbaev. Now they told me to go to the House of Culture, but there I was sent back again. In the end, I had to find my polling station on my own,” he said.

The former chairman of the territorial election commission, 83-year-old Paizilla Kalilov, noted changes in the organization of the elections. “Despite my age, I came with a cane because I consider participation my duty. Previously, invitations were delivered to homes, but that is no longer the case. The difference in these elections is good technical support and the absence of violations. I came to polling station No. 8177, but since I am registered at another one, I will go there,” he shared.
Chairman of the territorial election commission Alisher Koldoshov clarified that technical glitches are indeed observed, but they are promptly resolved. “In the region and the city, there are 57 stations, and by 10 a.m. the turnout is about 4%. There are some technical issues, but special groups are addressing them in a timely manner. No violations have been registered. Many residents did not check their lists in advance, so they are confusing the stations,” he reported.

Chairwoman of polling station No. 8177, Jamila Abdurassulova, explained that voters from other districts are also voting remotely at the polling stations of electoral district No. 1. “Our station belongs to district No. 1, but voters from district No. 2 come and vote remotely. Many city residents come by mistake—we check the lists and direct them to the correct stations,” she said.
