Today, the presidential New Year tree event started in Bishkek, attended by 490 children.
According to the Ministry of Education, as part of the festive event dedicated to the New Year, children from all corners of Kyrgyzstan gathered in the capital.
Deputy Minister of Education Albert Makmetkulov was also present at the celebration, where he congratulated the young guests on the upcoming holidays and wished them success in their studies and new achievements.
The children visited the National Center for Children and Youth "Seitek" and the B. Kydykeeva Theater, where an entertainment program and a theatrical performance of "Mowgli" were prepared for them.
The main events will continue on December 19 at the T. Satylganov Philharmonic.
