The Mayor of the capital, Aibek Junushaliev, conducted an inspection of city facilities and met with residents of Bishkek.
According to the mayor's office, during the visit, the mayor visited Buurdinskaya Street, where he communicated with local residents and listened to their concerns. As a result of the meeting, a decision was made to issue notifications for residential buildings located beyond the red line. The Land Use Control Department was instructed to dismantle temporary structures along the road and verify the legality of the facility located at: Dostuk St., 11/1.
In 2026, a reconstruction of Buurdinskaya Street, 1200 meters long, is planned, during which a two-lane road will be built, 2-meter-wide sidewalks will be installed, and a park will be renovated.
Additionally, the mayor reviewed the state of repairs at the kindergarten on Kommunarova St., 93. The Capital Construction Department was instructed to stop unjustified contract extensions with contractors and take measures to expedite the completion of work and the commissioning of the facility.
Aibek Junushaliev also emphasized the importance of a unified approach to using quality building materials for all social facilities in the city so that the best solutions can be applied to other projects as well.
As part of an investment project, the mayor visited the reconstructed wastewater treatment facilities costing 56 million USD. Currently, two reservoirs have been put into operation, and management automation has been implemented.
The design capacity of the facility is 380,000 cubic meters per day; however, the mayor suggested considering the possibility of increasing this capacity to 500,000 cubic meters.
During the inspection, Aibek Junushaliev also familiarized himself with the construction progress of the physical culture and health complex in the Maevka residential area. Here, he met with residents who raised issues about insufficient street lighting, public transport operations, and the arrangement of stops. City services were instructed to promptly address these issues.
In conclusion, the mayor urged residents to familiarize themselves with the Action Plan for the development of territories annexed to Bishkek for 2026-2030 and to send their suggestions if necessary.
