The press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that thanks to the use of the latest technologies, an old boat that had been at the bottom of a water body for about 30 years was raised in the last three years. According to available information, this vessel was used by poachers as a kind of "mine".
Currently, the boat is stored in a specially designated place, where illegally manufactured synthetic nets discovered over the last three to four months of 2025 are also collected. Previously, such boats were cleaned and handed over to the Ministry of Natural Resources, but now it has been decided to store them in one place for preventive measures.
The ministry emphasizes that such synthetic structures and waste pose a serious threat to the environment and pollute water bodies. Over the past 10-30 years, the amount of such debris in the water has significantly increased, jeopardizing the ecosystem.
According to the press service, this problem is under the control of the country's leadership, and appropriate measures are being taken on the instructions of the president.
