On January 31, a master class dedicated to the sewing and embroidery of beldemchi will take place at the National Museum of Fine Arts named after Gapar Aitiev. The event will be led by Turar Turganaly, a designer and member of the Union of Artists. This information was provided by the press service of the Ministry of Culture.

Beldemchi is a traditional open-front skirt or cape with a wide belt and is an important element of the Kyrgyz women's national costume. It is worn over a dress or a kamzol and symbolizes femininity, dignity, protection from the cold, and a connection to cultural heritage. Various fabrics, such as velvet and silk, are used to make beldemchi, as well as embroidery that holds deep symbolic meaning.

Participants will need to bring materials with them: a piece of velvet or corduroy fabric measuring 1 m x 1.5 m, as well as tools — embroidery threads, needles, and scissors.
