
A meeting was held at the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision of Kyrgyzstan, where the implementation of a new project aimed at improving air quality was discussed. This project, supported by the government of the Republic of Korea, will operate from 2026 to 2028 in Bishkek and the Chui region, with funding of up to $10 million. This information was provided by the ministry's press service.
The event was attended by Minister Medera Mashiev, his deputy Asel Raimkulova, as well as representatives of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).
The project's goals include reducing pollutant emissions, creating a comprehensive air quality management plan, and implementing environmentally friendly heating systems in public educational institutions.
It is expected that the implementation of this project will improve the environmental situation in Bishkek and the Chui region, as well as enhance the effectiveness of environmental protection measures.
