At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Kanibek Dosmambetov shared preventive measures and the installation of thermal imaging cameras at airports.
The Minister of Health, Kanibek Dosmambetov, reported on the measures being taken in Kyrgyzstan related to the Nipah virus during a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh.
He noted that special attention is being paid to students returning from India — they are met and directed for medical examinations.
“We are studying the algorithms used by Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan and exchanging data with them. The situation is fully under control, and there is no serious threat,” the minister added.
Additionally, by the president's order, funds have been allocated for the installation of automatic thermal imaging cameras at airports. Currently, such equipment is only available at "Manas," but in the coming days, it will be installed at the airports of Osh, Tamchy, Karakol, and other international points.
Dosmambetov also emphasized that the Nipah virus is transmitted only through physical contact and does not spread in the same way as COVID-19, urging citizens not to panic.
