Torobaev checked the readiness of the Sokuluk district for spring fieldwork

The Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry Bakyt Torobaev visited the Sokuluk District of the Chui Region to assess the readiness for the upcoming spring fieldwork.

During his visit, he reviewed the condition of the sown areas. Bakyt Sadykov, the head of the district's agricultural development department, informed the minister that 38,000 hectares of fallow land have already been plowed.

According to Sadykov, seeds of barley, wheat, and alfalfa have already been prepared and are stored in warehouses. Of the total plowed land, corn is planned to be planted on 6,000 hectares, sugar beets on 2,500 hectares, 20,000 hectares are allocated for barley, and the remaining areas will be occupied by fruit and berry crops. He also noted that the area of winter crops is 31,250 hectares. In addition, work continues on the mechanical cleaning of the R-10 canal and internal water bodies.

In response to the information provided, Minister Torobaev instructed the responsible persons to explain to farmers the advantages of using drip and sprinkler irrigation.
