The Ministry of Construction halted the construction of a 14-story building near school No. 61

The decision was made in response to citizens' requests and a video recording on social media.

In Kyrgyzstan, the Ministry of Construction has suspended the construction of a 14-story residential complex that was planned to be built in close proximity to secondary school No. 61 in Bishkek.

This decision was a result of a video appeal from local residents posted on social media. In this appeal, the citizens expressed their concerns about the new high-rise building being constructed too close to the educational institution, which could pose a danger to children.

The press service of the ministry reported: "By the order of the Minister of Construction Nurdana Oruntaev, all work on this site has been suspended. The permits for construction have been revoked."

Currently, the relevant state authorities are conducting additional inspections to determine the legality of the construction and assess whether this facility poses a potential threat to students.
