Dastan Bekeshev, a member of parliament, published information on his Telegram channel regarding the response he received from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to his inquiry about the entry of citizens of Kazakhstan into Kyrgyzstan.

According to the information provided by the ministry, a meeting was held on February 3 at the president's administration, dedicated to simplifying the process of entry and movement of citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan within the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic. As a result of the discussions, an instruction was given to develop a draft amendment to the government resolution No. 541, dated October 10, 2023.

Currently, the relevant authorities are working on measures to facilitate entry, primarily for ethnic Kyrgyz.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also emphasized that it will continue its work to protect the rights and legitimate interests of citizens of Kyrgyzstan in accordance with international law norms.

It is worth noting that new rules for the stay of citizens of Kazakhstan in Kyrgyzstan will come into effect on September 1, 2025. They will be able to stay in the country for up to 90 days within any 180-day period, starting from the date of their first entry. All days of stay will be summed up and will not reset with each border crossing, and a new count will begin only after an uninterrupted exit from Kyrgyzstan for a period of at least 90 calendar days.

For the first 30 days of stay, registration at the place of residence is not required; however, if the stay exceeds this period, it will become mandatory.
