This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan.

On February 9, 2026, various online resources and media reported that 75 citizens had appealed to President Sadyr Japarov and Chairman of the Jogorku Kenesh Nurlanbek Turgunbekov with a request for new presidential elections in the country. Among the signatories were scholars, former prime ministers, ex-deputies, and public figures, as noted by the agency.
