On the air of "Birinchi Radio," cardiothoracic surgeon Nurlan Koshoybek uulu shared recommendations on what to do before doctors arrive in case of a heart attack.

According to him, it is important to know which symptoms of cardiovascular diseases require immediate medical attention. These include burning sensations, pain that may radiate to the arm, jaw, or between the shoulder blades, as well as shortness of breath during physical exertion. These signs may be temporary, but they signal the need to seek specialists.

Nurlan Koshoybek uulu emphasizes that before the ambulance arrives, it is necessary to stop any physical activity and remain calm. If aspirin is available at home, it can be taken; however, it is better to refrain from using other medications. It is important to ensure access to oxygen and wait for the doctors.

Upon the arrival of medical personnel, they will conduct necessary examinations, including laboratory tests, an electrocardiogram, and an echocardiogram.

The doctor noted that in the case of a heart attack or problems with coronary vessels, the so-called golden hour is critically important, during which medical assistance can save lives and improve the quality of life for the patient.

Nurlan Koshoybek uulu also reminded that cardiovascular diseases rank first among the causes of death both worldwide and in Kyrgyzstan. The main reasons for this are lifestyle factors: smoking, lack of physical activity, poor nutrition, frequent consumption of fast food, stress, high blood pressure, and cholesterol levels. In recent years, many patients aged 35-40 have been seeking medical help for serious heart problems.
