In Kyrgyzstan, they celebrate Book Giving Day

On February 14, the country celebrates Book Giving Day, which takes place in libraries throughout Kyrgyzstan. This initiative aims to promote reading and strengthen spiritual values. This was reported by the Ministry of Culture.

According to the information from the ministry, over a thousand libraries are participating in events such as Book Swap, quest games, and campaigns titled "A Book is the Most Valuable Gift," which facilitate active book exchanges among readers.


The Alykul Osmonov National Library is also participating in the celebration by updating its collections with new literature and organizing various events. In turn, the Republican Library for Children and Youth named after Kasymaly Bayalinov offers special programs for young readers.

In addition, the State Book Chamber of the Kyrgyz Republic is actively distributing new books to regional libraries, contributing to the renewal of their collections.

The ministry continues its targeted work on the development of the book industry and meeting the spiritual needs of citizens.
