In the Chuy region, in the Moscow district, a memorial rally was held to mark the 37th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan. The Deputy Head of the District State Administration, Nazgul Mekeshova, reported on the event, which paid tribute to the heroism of Afghan warriors.

The rally took place at the monument to internationalist soldiers in the village of Belovodskoye. This event has become a tradition, as every year veterans of the Afghan war are honored and the fallen are remembered here. During the rally, wreaths were laid at the monument, and participants recalled the feats of the soldiers. A prayer was also read in honor of the fallen warriors, and the event was accompanied by a small concert program.

"February 15 is not just a date, but a day that reminds us of courage and resilience, of the difficult trials in history. It is a day when we not only remember but also honor the heroism of soldiers, as well as express respect for those whose lives were taken by war," noted Nazgul Mekeshova.

The rally was attended by the First Deputy Akim Ulan Sadaliev, veterans, representatives of the military commissariat, social institutions, and local residents.

It is worth noting that 115 fighters from the Moscow district fought in Afghanistan, three of whom died.
