In Kainy, events were held to commemorate the 37th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan.

In the "Victory" park, at the "Black Tulip" memorial, a solemn requiem meeting took place.

Veterans of the Afghan war, local authorities, residents of the city, and district leaders gathered to honor the occasion.

The ceremony was held with military honors, and a guard was present, provided by the military commissariat. In memory of the fallen heroes, gunfire was heard.

Participants honored the memory of those who did not return from the war with a moment of silence, after which they laid flowers at the monument.

The Akim of the Panfilov district, Bekmaat Masaidov, addressed those present, emphasizing the importance of the veterans' feats. He noted: "The courage of Soviet soldiers displayed in Afghanistan will forever remain in the memory of the people. The state will continue to support Afghan veterans," he said.

A total of 58 fighters from the Panfilov district went to the Afghan war, two of whom lost their lives while fulfilling their military duty.
