In Bishkek, events are being prepared to commemorate the 83rd anniversary of the lifting of the blockade of Leningrad, as reported by the Russian House.

According to the source, the program includes a rally and an official laying of flowers at the monument "To the Courage of Leningraders — the Nobility of Kyrgyzstani" in Victory Park. As part of this event, documents containing information about the fate of their loved ones will be handed over to the relatives of 12 soldiers from Kyrgyzstan who were previously listed as missing in action.

Tomorrow, January 17, a memorial service will be held at the Holy Resurrection Cathedral dedicated to the fallen defenders and residents of besieged Leningrad, as well as to the members of the Kyrgyz Society of Blockade Survivors who passed away in peacetime.

A flower-laying ceremony is scheduled for January 18 at the monument to Anna Kutanova, the long-time leader of the Kyrgyz Society of Blockade Survivors of Leningrad, at the Northern Cemetery.
