On February 18, a collegial meeting was held in the Jalal-Abad region to summarize the results of the socio-economic development of the region for the year 2025.

Participants in the meeting included the Deputy Prime Minister — Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry Bakyt Torobaev, the Presidential Representative in the Jalal-Abad region Tilek Tekebaev, heads of districts and cities, as well as leaders of regional, district, and city institutions and enterprises.

During the meeting, the main indicators of the socio-economic development of the region were analyzed, and the achieved results were reviewed.

As a result of the past year, the index of physical volume of industrial production amounted to 125.8 percent, the growth rate of agriculture was 105.3 percent, and investments in fixed capital reached 140.3 percent. A total of 58 billion 845 million soms worth of industrial products were produced, with the region's share in the republic reaching 7.4 percent. Throughout the year, 15 large production facilities were commissioned, and investments of over 7 billion soms were attracted.

In the agricultural sector, products worth 88 billion 880.8 million soms were produced, with the region's share in the republic amounting to 19.3 percent. The revenue part of the state budget was fulfilled at 105.6 percent, reaching 27 billion 806 million soms.

In the social sphere, 52 facilities were commissioned over the year, including 24 kindergartens, 22 schools, and 15 sports facilities. The medical faculty of Jalal-Abad State University opened 50 budget-funded places.

Last year, 26,667 infants were born in the region, and 301 cases of death among children under one year old were registered. Compared to the previous year, this figure decreased by 41 cases.

As part of the state housing program "My Home," 2,865 apartments were commissioned in 2025.

Under the "Social Contract" project, 4,207 families received financial support of 150,000 soms each. In the tourism sector, the number of tourists visiting the region exceeded 353,000, with more than 288 million soms received in the local budget.

Following the meeting, the head of the region set a number of tasks for the heads of districts, cities, and regional institutions for 2026. These tasks are aimed at ensuring economic growth, attracting investments, developing social infrastructure, and improving the quality of life for the population. Attention was also drawn to the need to improve the quality of education and medical services, prepare for spring fieldwork, and effectively utilize water resources.

The implementation of the decisions made at the meeting has been put under control, and it was noted that appropriate measures will be taken.
