Batken: Over 50,000 Traffic Violations Detected in 2025

In the Batken region, 50,909 violations of traffic rules were recorded in 2025, and as a result of road traffic accidents, 41 people lost their lives.

This was reported today, January 12, at an operational meeting to summarize the activities of the Road Traffic Safety Department of the Batken Regional Internal Affairs Directorate for the 12 months of 2025.

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Head of the Main Department for Road Traffic Safety of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Police Lieutenant Colonel Aibek Jumagulov, the Head of the Batken Regional Internal Affairs Directorate, Police Colonel Ulan Zhukenov, the Head of the Road Traffic Safety Department of the Batken Regional Internal Affairs Directorate, Police Lieutenant Colonel Talaybek Namazbekov, as well as heads of district and city departments and senior inspectors.

Since the beginning of the year, the Road Traffic Safety Department of the Batken Regional Internal Affairs Directorate has identified a total of 50,909 violations of traffic rules, and 66,517,670 soms in fines have been collected into the state budget.

Identified violations:

driving a vehicle in a state of alcohol intoxication — 1,108 drivers;

exceeding the established speed limit — 7,798 drivers;

illegal tinting of windows — 268 drivers;

driving a vehicle without the appropriate documents — 1,824 drivers;

auto hooliganism — 63 drivers;

failure to comply with traffic signs — 14,063 drivers.

“For various traffic rule violations, 6,200 vehicles were placed in impound lots.

Instructions were also given for the digitization of activities, strict adherence to service discipline, ensuring legality, public order, and increasing the level of road traffic safety.

It should be noted that in 2025, as a result of road traffic accidents in the region, 41 people died, which is one case less compared to 2024,” the report states.
