In Kazakhstan, starting from the new year, fines for traffic violations for drivers and pedestrians are being increased.

Starting from January 2026, the monthly calculation indicator (MCI) in Kazakhstan will increase to 4,325 tenge (730 soms). This will affect the amounts of fines for traffic violations, reports Tengrinews.

New Fine Amounts

Speeding:Driving a vehicle without a license - 21,625 tenge (3,645 soms).

Ignoring road signs or markings - 12,975 tenge (2,180 soms).

Running a red light:Violating pedestrian path rules - 64,875 tenge (10,900 soms).

Parking violations:Failure to comply with a police officer's order to stop the vehicle:Fines for violating passenger transport rules, not wearing a seatbelt, and using a phone while driving - 21,625 tenge (3,645 soms).

Additionally, changes will also affect pedestrians: starting from January 2026, they will pay 8,650 tenge (1,450 soms) for traffic violations, and in case of repeat violations, the fine will amount to 43,250 tenge (7,290 soms).
