In connection with the upcoming New Year holidays, more than 1,000 police officers and staff from the Road Traffic Safety Department (UTSD) in the Jalal-Abad region have switched to an enhanced work mode.

According to information from the regional Internal Affairs Directorate, raids are being conducted in the area starting from December 23, with the aim of ensuring public safety. "In the first three days, 1,289 violations of traffic rules were recorded. Of these, 301 cases were for speeding, and 57 drivers were operating vehicles without the necessary documents," the report states.

Additionally, 42 drivers were detained for driving under the influence of alcohol, and 119 vehicles were placed in specialized impound lots. In the coming days, due to the festive events, inspections will be conducted with even greater strictness," the Internal Affairs Directorate added.
