
As part of this initiative, the municipality plans to create a traffic council—a platform for interaction between experts, citizens, and government institutions, which will allow for the development of comprehensive solutions to address the congestion problem.
The mayor of the capital, Aibek Junushaliev, opening the meeting, expressed gratitude to all participants for their activity and willingness to cooperate. He noted that only through joint efforts can the issue of congestion be tackled. Among the main tasks of the city administration, he highlighted the updating of road infrastructure, the implementation of "smart" traffic lights, and other measures within the competence of local authorities. It is planned that such meetings will be held regularly.
During the panel discussion and analytical session, various comprehensive approaches to reducing traffic jams were discussed. Ideas were presented by representatives of public organizations, bloggers, transport companies, and independent experts.
As part of the event, active citizens were awarded. Certificates of appreciation were presented to Mirlan Zhukeiev for his assistance in snow removal and Rashid Brown for his support in highlighting the activities of the city administration.
The discussion was attended by the deputy chairman of the Bishkek City Council, Zhyldyzbek Abdraymov, the head of the Public Safety Management Department of the Bishkek City Police, Borborbek Tashmatov, deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh and the city council, as well as representatives from the Ministry of Transport and Communications, law enforcement agencies, construction companies, media, bloggers, and active citizens.
